i really dont think eclis considers Penelope as a person, he doesn't care for how she would feel after his betrayal to her. He repeats his dream of Penelope coming to him after her family disowns her, and them living together. Every time he says it as if its such a pure action stemming out of love, its not, his love is obsessive, over the idea of who penelope is to him, he never considers penelope's possible resentment towards him for his betrayal, never considers how she would feel after being disowned by her family, simply wants to live in his happy land with her.
Why do people act as if Penelope has full control over him? he's always acted on what HE wants to do and Penelope is yet to ask him to do something he doesn't want to, when she does ask him for it, he denies.
whenever people talk about penelope's treatment of eclis why is it that only "eclis is the only one that loves her he only sees her, he's devoted and she used him" is considered, what about the fact that both him and Penelope had known at the beginning that he did not consider her his master and that she knew he would become a knight/noble soon enough. I don't think Penelope could've forced herself to love him? How is it her fault she couldn't look past the fact that this is a game and that she wants to go back to her original life and that's why she wants to win the game? Even after his betrayal when he comes to see her he repeats his dream and the people reading the novel are like "i cant forgive Penelope for telling him he's the one who has to die" like she's not allowed to feel resentful towards him, and she's not killing him, she's abandoning him. He has full control over his life he's only obsessed with her, not a robot.
who's writing the damn story my god its a feverdream but in the most boring ways im so disappointed, so,, embarassed for the sake of the characters that they have to act this out
i think johan is the head of the establishment that's captured jess and that it was his plan to pose as a slave and try to get close to jeff for the experiments philip was doing, and the betrayal joha n is talking about in the first chapter is about jess pretending to accept johan's love/fascination.
the next time ill read this will probably be after its completed i could never handle reading this much of nothing every other week

i thought i was gnna find a "normal"(yk the bl normal) story after so long turns out this one's going south as well
everytime i read a random update of this out of curiosity my favourite part is to come see the comments and laugh at wtv the author's on
u dont use a slur even if its for a tit for tat moment there were so many other ways to fix it .. what change is inserting a random racism arc in the story gnna make like they went through all the trouble of making up a new area, randomly putting the concept of immigrants becoming the major population all to just make their guy say a slur. im thinking the author had a very specific source of inspiration for this shit and just HAD to include it (i remember hearing a khiphop song where zico just said smth like yellow m...key then the n word it might just be the one)
is the misunderstanding arc near too mama im scared
hearing random things abt jay from the novel here n ive to say the terrible things are common in the webtoon and novel but the author has added too many scenes with sexual assault that weren't in the novel. ive read it recently so id say in the novel jay doesnt say anything worse than the one line used idk twice in the webtoon "id do it w ur corpse" and ik that's shit but he also says sweet things like all the time soon after this part of the story (cha jungwoo) i really dont remember him doing anything worse than this, he mostly says wild shit but doesnt do things like in the webtoon its not like i love him but its still a bit bothering cuz i fr thought my memory was going shit while reading the comments
ALSO !! to the people who say yoohan is good enough to fight back jay, the novel is from yoohan's pov and he often thinks to himself abt how strong the guy is and how he cant subdue him but he does say (abt a diff thing) that he would hit back the opponent even if he loses an arm or smth so i think he's yet to fight back ig
is a child giving you butterflies okay (ive never rlly heard or felt it in normal settings what's with the korean authorsTT)
does no one really see how the guy is drawn like a child in comparison to the reaper/wtv he is i cant get over it and the guy from love is an illusion too
