it was cute i guess, i really love the art but it was so rushed. why mention them being cousins when it has nothing to do with the plot? why mention the conflict with the mum and shuu when they never give it a complete end? why give chihiro the sudden change of heart with no actual development? it has a cute happy ending but the manga as a whole is a bit of a disappointment. they could have really ventured into the relationship between shuu and his mum and how being gay would have affected but also strengthened their bond instead of showing the first half being just shuu being a pushover that won’t lock his door. also on the door topic why DIDNT HE lock his door? shuu shows no actual development, he’s all shy and doubting his true sexuality the whole tome but as soon as he has sex with chihiro he suddenly becomes super chill and comfortable with everything. maybe if shuu locked the door just once. we could have seen more of the internal conflict he was experiencing with himself where on one hand he wants to be himself and love men but on the other hand he feels the need to suppress his sexuality for the happiness of his mother and from there we could see the relationship between shuu and his mum grow as well as the development of the relationship between shuu and chihiro. idk it had great potential and the art was genuinely so beautiful but it just ended up being boring with no set plot. boy likes boy, boys mum doesn’t approve, boy grows sad but other boy sweeps in and save the day, mum suddenly disappears from the story completely, sex, happy ending.

jigging sucks ass like, he’s horrible. i don’t want him to have a redemption arc or a side story where he finds love. his past was bad but nothing can justify what he did. HOWEVER i like that the author has shown he’s grown as a person, i hope he doesn’t come back into the story anymore. leave us the audience with the thought that jihyuns improving and he’s trying to live his life better. just don’t show it to us.
