He’s actually in love w/ Penelope, so he sides w/ Yvonne to try and have his people take over the empire, but is thwarted. I forget if he dies or not. Honestly, he actually becomes a bit of a pathetic creep, so I’m not so sorry for him. Sure Penelope didn’t handle him right, but that doesn’t make what he does okay.
I prefer the prince, because when he realizes how fked up the family is, he takes them to task and does try to amend his ways for Penelope
The Eclise route has always been doomed from the start. All Penelope thinks about is her survival (which is totally understandable), so she's manipulating her target ml without much consideration. I also feel bad for Eclise, he really didn't do anything wrong but he's being manipulated multiple times. Though his responses (being all toxic and destructively obsessive) is also not excusable.
Spoiler for Eclise in the end of the story
He had a bittersweet ending in the story. He's not dead but he forgot everything, which is honestly good for him. He didn't deserve to be dragged along by everyone, so now he can start a new, without anyone leading him on and on a path he will finally choose by himself.
No Yvonne was manipulating him with mind control and then he sacrificed himself for Penelope then lost his memories...at least those were the spoilers I read

I can't omg I feel so bad for snake.
He finally gets a family only for them all to die and then he unknowingly goes with the person who kills them then he finds out one of them lived and finds out the family he loved so much was kidnapping and killing children. And the new family he found was the one who killed them.
Then funny abandons him why did finny leave him omg no. Maybe snake can reconnect with doll and convince doll to join ciels side. Snakes my second favorite character now (ciels no.1)
