Idk if it's because it's fictional so they don't sweat the details and add in their own (false) anatomy and stuff to make the character fit more into the role of a woman (eeughh),, or if it's because they are genuinely uneducated, and if so then it's really only because they don't care about accuracy or the community in general, as it really only takes Google and common sense, and even your own body to understand that the anus isn't a slit and doesn't have no damn hymen, clit or self-lubrication and *needs* prep work. Intersex would have been more accurate to describe these anatomy drawings but they're not even ☠☠☠☠

I think it's a series of both tbh, since 99% of bl characters are almost always assigned an automatic sex role based on masculinity, but irl like half of gay men are switches, maybe even more tbh
