JaeShin is the son of the God of Hell. Lee Nok is the crown prince who is plagued with greedy spirits and ghosts. JaeShin loves meddling in mortal’s business that it finally angered his father and punished him by turning him into a puppy, with a condition that JaeShin’s punishment will only be lifted if he manage to win the love of a mortal. JaeShin the puppy ended up being in Lee Nok’s care.

JaeShin scares away the spirits and ghosts that feed on Lee Nok’s energy thats why the crown prince suffers from fatigue and horror. JaeShin learned that some of the ghosts are hanging around Lee Nok bec they were cursed and parts of their remains were planted around the Crown Prince’s palace to plague Lee Nok. To give the ghosts their chance to rest in peace and for them to leave Lee Nok alone, JaeShin made it his quest to know the ghosts history and find their remains. His quest was aided by a ghost Shaman who let them know that the one who made the ghosts as curse was the Queen herself, Lee Nok’s stepmother who also killed Lee Nok’s mother, the former queen.

You probably already read about the bride ghost. The Queen burned her and took her name so she can’t remember her life and how she died but with JaeShin’s help, her curse bounced back to the Queen. You might also have encountered starving skeletal ghost. His story is about his town suffering in famine. The Queen’s men offered the man some food that he quickly feed to his children and pregnant wife. But it was poisoned and all his family died. The man was arrested and died of starvation too. He then became another cursed ghost that hangs around the crown prince.

JaeShin and Lee Nok fell in love. JaeShin will learn that he is the reason why Lee Nok could see ghosts while Lee Nok’s most trusted friend Choi KyungJoo will discover JaeShin and Lee Nok’s affair and will start feeling resentful of the prince.

The Queen, by the way, is doing all of these bec she is pure evil who doesn’t have any qualm killing literal children or even hurting her own son…all because she wants to possess Lee Nok’s beautiful face that he inherited from his mother.

So thats basically what this story is all about.

its my selfish desire so more people will love this story bec i think its criminally underrated since its not just a love story, even the ghosts subplots could tug on one’s heartstrings.
