Ithink this would have worked more if mc was more affectionate in the past/you could see that he was also treating seme as special/he was slowly falling (he was cruel and ordered seme around but clearly preferred his company than others) and giving hope to seme that he'll like him back so seme clung to that hope, and then he runs away from him. I think this story would work more if we see how uke will reciprocate, bc so far i cant see him being clingy and affectionate when that's what I think author is implying him to be as a lover lol
