Nah she evil incarnate with everyone but what pisses me off is that the emperor is only evil with Ettienne. He is a fucking wimp with everyone else and its like he throws the anger for not being able to defeat the evil mum to his innocent son. For me he is worse since he never acknowledged him,let him in pain and literally raised Rishar with him just to tell his son: See this one is better he is your replacement,you are nothing! Right on his face He never cared to investigate if his son was sick,literally became a "father" for Rishar bcs he had a weird crush on his omega father which is fucking weird and Rishar adressed that and wants to use him to take away his sons only friend and also post as emperor that can assure him his well earned future. He is a disgraceful man through and through,maybe not from evil but born through ignorance and haterance.
i think it’s also because she’s so comically evil that the emperor is a more realistic kind of evil people can relate to and hate easier. neglect is such a common thing and the extreme levels of favouritism and only focusing on his own blood after being shouted at and told to twice by another man is also something people can’t respect easily too. he also made his own sons life hell. and it seems like there’s going to be a redemption arc for him so that adds to people unease cus the empress sure won’t get it and is definitely too cartoony to be hated with the same vitriol.
Ppl aren’t passing the vibe check on why the father sucks The emperor was literally r@ped by the empress yall ofc he’s scared as shit of her, esp since not only that, but she’s been secretly eliminating anyone who gets in the way of Etienne becoming a puppet emperor for her (bc she’s made it clear that when Etie becomes emperor, she’s gonna be the real one in control).
The father/emperor DOES SUCK but it’s to a slightly lesser extent as he was also a victim to the empress and didn’t rlly know what exactly Etie was going thru (he doesnt even know hes an omega). But he does suck balls for ignoring and neglecting his kid, esp when he comes to him. As well as propping up another kid and treating him as his own and much better, when he could have used his trauma from the empress as a learning point to protect Etie from her, knowing how fucking demonic she is. But he didn’t.
Tldr theyre both awful but I think the empress is still the genuine worst and the emperor is a damn coward, even if it’s understandable.
as a person, the Emperor isn't too bad but as a father he's definitely horrible. not once did he try to understand or even get to know Etienne. while i understand why, it just sucks that he blamed(?) an innocent kid. i think if he tried raising Eti, maybe he'd be less scared of him becoming an puppet for the Empress/being 'close' to his mother

I love this manga like actually. Such a good message about how fighting to convey your feelings is important in a healthy relationship. I like how realistic it is too with how Satomi and Yagyu are both teenagers, OF COURSE they’re gonna have a hard time communicating with eachother because neither of them are experienced in love. Love these last two chapters, theming on point as always. Also they are just so sweet holding them dearly rn
