I loved this before. But rereading it now i realize how unsatisfying this actually is. Sehyun’s ending is happy which honestly good for him, but the writing feels so rushed. It felt like the author just wants them to fall in love quick and be together, which is not really realistic. One moment they were acquaintances, next page they’re lovers. Overall, i can see the author tried really hard to make this ‘dark’ and ‘uncomfortable’ but it’s so disappointing how there’s no justice for anything he went through. i’d rather have seen Sehyun move on and THEN fall in love than this. Not to mention that I don’t really get how Boris fell for him, because I can’t get it off my head that he just saw Sehyun as another rape victim he could save to save himself from his past.
I had a reread, and I agree that the ending do feel abit rushed. I wish they had shown more of how Boris and his friends & families helped Sehyun recovered from his trauma & realised his self worth.
But I think Boris said at the end that Sehyun was literally his type. So maybe sexual attraction first, then he fell for Sehyun as the story progressed from seeing Sehyun's kindness towards Anya, and courage (covering for Boris & saving Brian from Michael's friends beating) ♡
Truee. I like romance but in this story, I would have loved to see Sehyun actually get to the point where he can love himself and heal, that would have been so much more beautiful more than him falling in love with someone. And yeah, I can see now that you pointed out Boris’ pov, I guess i’m just unsatisfied because I was looking for something more but I can’t really complain because this is marketed as 90% romance and not really a realistic psychological drama :’D
I do wish author did better at writing an ending and handling such heavy real life topics seeing as they were at least aware of how traumatizing it can get. Kudos for not being like other old creators out there who make it a joke though.
This is a bit nostalgic aaa so cutee, the sweetness is melting me. BUT ALSO, not really a big deal, but in my opinion the art style peaked around chapter 30 By the end, they must have eaten something cause the necks became so THICC and the faces shrunk while the eyes got bigger omg
