Even though it's mean and hurtful, many people don't realize what's good until it's gone. Also, it gives a more realistic plot line rather than a love at first sight or a one night stand couple randomly falls for each other. It seems realistic to have a speed bump or two. I actually loved this plot, in which the seme was indeed cheatin on the uke instead of that oh-so-common-plot in which he's just trying to protect the other or whatever. I agree with the part of growing and all, and how realistic it sounds, but I must admit, I would love if Shinobu came back with a new lover that really cares about him. After all, he's a handsome guy and very gentle and caring, now that he completely changed his appearance, he should be able to find himself a nice lover and thus make Kou regret ever doing that to him <3
