i guess the people saying it's sudden are the people who have been waiting for updates? i read this one in one go just rn and i definitely don't feel like it's sudden. and it's not like skylar says he loves cirrus already, he even said he just didn't want to be cut off from him that's why he suggested dating.
you'd notice since way before that skylar couldn't help but be conscious and think/worry about cirrus at times, especially after he saw cirrus crying when he came over his house.

I read it because it’s a good story and with certain anime and manga you really have to overlook certain things to enjoy it like nobody likes to see this stuff but sometimes you gotta just gotta get through it. I like this story a lot so far, and I try to pretend that their past doesn’t exist the way it does to get through it but it doesn’t mean it’s not worth calling out. I can see the people who don’t understand the weirdness are probably minors on this site and probably still in their teens so they might not be mature enough to understand it yet but as an adult it’s weird as hell and I’d like to ask each of them to think of any baby you saw recently and ask yourself if you’d date someone like that when they grew up

at first i did get annoyed at the misunderstanding but after hearing souta apologizing and questioning himself if it must be him that's the problem hurt a lot and led me to sympathize with him more. it's really hard to trust especially when you've already experienced the same betrayal twice. he loved kento so much that he was willing to keep quiet instead of confronting him about it and caused the miscommunication. it really hurt and i felt how kento also felt hurt for souta when souta said that he must be to blame it made his commitment to make sure souta never ever feels that way ever again even more beautiful.
i think this was a necessary arc for them so souta could feel more assured and completely heal from his past wounds. bless these two
