I think i have the basics, like when i first started i knew everything and the problems and stuff but man THE NAAAAMES THEYRE TOO MUCH I GET TOO CONFUSED AND FORGET EVERYTHING am i the only one?? I have a problem with names in manga i confuse the names and faces. im so ashamed ╥﹏╥ idk whats going on anymore

In short, the yakuza group that Yashiro belongs to is losing their boss, as he is an old man by now. Therefore, the next to be appointed is Misumi (the older man with dark hair that found Yashiro and made him a part of the gang).
When Misumi becomes the main boss, someone needs to fill his place as the big boss' direct underling, i.e. Misumi's right hand. This could either be Yashiro or Hirata, (the homophobe that is trying to kill yashiro, and who has now been stabbed by Ryuuzaki). This is why Hirata wants Yashiro dead, as he overheard Yashiro talking with Misami who asked Yashiro to become his right hand.
After he found out that Misami plans to make Yashiro his right hand, Hirata joined another yakuza group, which are the rivals to Misumi's and Yashiro's group. Hirata is currently working for them as a spy and helping them bring down Yashiro's gang. This is why people are talking about drugs in the manga, as Hirata wants to make it look like the other gang killed Yashiro over drugs, even though he wants him dead for personal reasons. If Hirata kills Yashiro, he can get a high position in both groups.
Regarding what is going on between Doumeki and Yashiro, you will have to reread the manga ;)
