Well, I feel disappointed after reading the spoiler down there. But eventhough it ends like that, I don't think the message changes.
Socially speaking, appearance does matter, but that's not everything. Our outlooks in life, our personality, those are the ones that, at the end of the day, matter. We can wholeheartedly understand that when Kaga was with Ayumi. And until now (even after being spoiled and going through a short depression 'cause I know my ship won't sail :'D), that is still what I can recollect from this Manga.
I love how it updates only once in a week (ot sometimes more) but there's always something to talk about each chapter (=・ω・=)
