rein didn’t “ruin” wilhelm, wilhelm ruined rein. this could been seen in the depictions of wilhelm with the bird, but even more so than that, as the story went on we could see rein’s mental state actively deteriorating because of wilhelm’s gaslighting and manipulation. the whole moral of the story is that wilhelm was ALWAYS this way. he is not trustworthy, he is a manipulator, he is apathetic, and the only thing wilhelm IS consistent at is lying.
even we, as the viewer, have a difficult time discerning what is the truth (from wilhelm) and what isn’t because he literally lies that much. i hate to say it to you, but wilhelm is the problem not because of anyone else but himself.
Then she shouldn't have bore his child in the name of LOVE she has also used him for her revenge thing which she was unable to do even in her next life if there wasn't Wilhem she would have died just like her last life without doing much
my brother in christ, she did not have his kid because she loved him, she had his child because she couldn’t bring herself to kill it. and yeah, while did use wilhelm to inact revenge, wilhelm was a willing participant. you make it seem as though she tricked him when that was not the case at all. not only did she make it abundantly clear from the beginning that she would be using him (to both wilhelm and the best friend), she felt overwhelming remorse regarding using wilhelm to advance her goals. of course, that isn’t to say that rein isn’t a bad person as she does some pretty irredeemable things, but i would argue that rein is undeniably human. she never once wielded wilhelm as he was a sword that swung on her word, she treated wilhelm with respect, humility, and civility at every turn in the beginning.
it’s also strange that you frame rein as useless without wilhelm when that is not the case at all. as we can see from the latest chapters, it is not rein that needs wilhelm to continue on, it is wilhelm that requires the constant attention and pampering of rein to operate as normal. it is due to the obsession that rots at his brain that wilhelm is inclined to inadvertently destroy the one thing he cherished the most.
wilhelm is a monster born into a circumstance of his own creation and suffering the consequences that he sowed. the only thing he is a victim of is himself.
