But he's self-aware, which means he can correct himself when he finds that he's going back to his old tendencies. Meanwhile sangwoo's being led by his emotions, after being "rational" his whole life, which must be induce anxiety, not having control for the first time ever. So much character growth for these two

So short and so impactful. It's one of those works where you wish it was longer but at the same time, all has been said. By the ending they have doomed themselves to a life where they'll always long for the other, because just a single step closer will turn everything to ruin. How painful such an existence will be? Knowing you could have everything, but by having everything you'll lose it all.
The art is too pretty for words. The smut is hot. The plot? The premise of the story itself? Brilliant! Thought-provoking! I'm positive this manhwa will haunt me for days.

Ik the violent themes of this manhwa may be keeping people out. But I promise it's worth it to persist past that. This manhwa gives you well written characters with juicy back stories that propel the plot forward. I really loved how human the characters felt, in they're written in such a way that you can empathize with them even even if you may not agree with them. I loved the growth the characters went through, both positive and negative. This bl is not afraid to toe the lines of morality, but it doesn't sugarcoat or romanticize it. It just shows you what it is, and it is up to you to judge.

I recommend reading this if you like smut. There's smut almost every chapter, and they're done really prettily! The art is so pretty!
It's my first time seeing a swollen anus thanks to this BL. I've read other BLs mentioning the anus being swollen, but I've never seen it. Now that I think about it, it might actually be my first time thinking a bl character has a pretty hole! Lmaooo
Yian (or just Ian) is a good character in terms of being a male lead in a BL. He's just a walking green flag. The MC, idk, I don't agree with some of his actions, but I also do understand where they're coming from.
This is an easy read. A quick read, really, if you skip the smut. Plot-wise I feel like it doesn't deliver much. Not much tension (in the plot itself, not the characters), not much conflict, not much characterization outside of the main characters. There really isn't much.
The villain feels more like a side villain in that he doesn't feel like an actual villain. If anything, most of the elements in the manhwa feel like they were added to the manhwa just for the sake of adding them. Almost like fillers, just to fill the pages, when the actual goal is to deliver smut. The 60+ chapters feel unnecessary long, and I read this in one go.
Just read this for the smut, is what I'm suggesting. You can read this without thinking much, and I do understand that there are times when people want to do just that! The strongest point of this BL is the art and the smut!

But I read this in one go so I wasn't really attached to the characters...kind of sad that there was no redemption for yeomra, just... death. It would have made my life if, right before the yoomin unalived yeomra, there was a moment of hesitation in the former and/or a tiny bit of regret or questioning (Is this really what I wanted?) in the latter. It could have been just a shared gaze between the two without the anger or the desperation to kill or be killed, a quiet moment amidst the chaos, a shared knowing or acknowledgement that "We were once like that" Haaah it's always characters like yeomra that appeal to me the most. So much potential in their relationship, so much growth, so much angst, but alas, the author had a different plan entirely.
The first season felt very rushed to me, the relationship between the main couple felt mostly physical. It didn't feel like there was a connection there. I was surprised when they already got back together by chapter 9. I skipped most of the smut scenes from the first half of this bl. I wonder what the author was thinking, revealing vital information about the mc when it's nearing the end. It made it very difficult to relate to the mc (and even the ml) relatively.
In comparison, the second couple had more chemistry, more depth right from the very beginning. Their story was also more dramatic and more eventful. Even with the pacing. It's just...more fleshed out, more interesting over all...
Which is interesting when you look at it. Both of the couples are parallels of the other. I think that can be both the strength and weakness of this bl. It's a strength bc it was novel how those characters were intertwined with each other, but it's a weakness because they're so parallel that you can't help but compare them and then come to the conclusion that the first couple just pales next to the 2nd.
I would rate this 3.8/5. I enjoyed it but I wouldn't reread
