These two characters are the sort you fall in love with. The story feels complete, but you also want to see them maybe grow up, go to college, etc, and all the cute shenanigans that comes with all that

I took my time with this story for a change. Loved all of it. It sucks you into their lives, makes you care about them, and cheer for their future. Wonderful.
So even though Iruma's supposed evil cycle makes him lord over others, he still cares about them. In his phase he is ambitious, not malicious.
And he faces off against, or will face off against, these demons that glorify the concept of evil. They aren't interested in the betterment of anyone but themselves. Iruma, even when he becomes "evil" still cares about bettering and protecting his friends and family.
I'm looking forward to Iruma's future evolution.
