ok so I've realize from chapter one that this so called "god" that appeared before Father Bence is a DEVIL in disguise of a divine being (gave it away because of the shadow part LMAO, also the way the crown looks for me looks devilish for some reason). He's—, ITS using father's guilt, conscience, and sins to MANIPULATE him.
What really got me and creeped me the fuck out is the panels where father can only be seen, even tho he's with the devil (the window view etc) especially the end (the ceiling view), not only does it deceive the father, but also US (oh and also Michael).
What got me thinking is that "does michael see the devil? Shown at the last chapter?" I've thought about possible answers to this question.
• Based on the panel where Michael entered the house/cabin, he reflexively covered his eyes due to how bright it was. And if you'd look at the "god" devil, he goes BRIGHT bright to deceive the characters. so this will be a Yes answer.
• but according to the ceiling view, there's no one there. Just the father floating, and Michael himself. He probably reacted shockingly because of how weird+creepy+ shocking it was. Imagine seeing someone float up close, ain't that weird?. And also supporting details, the window part where the "God" and Father Bence are together but only Father Bence was shown at the panel, that just justified this claim even more. So no, Michael can't see the devil.
Overall the story is kinda good even tho it's only 4 chapters, the genre is good, character and context is also good. BUT the theme, Christianity? I mean there's also typical ones like this out there but this one reaaallyyy feels like will leave a big impression on me. The choice of words, the way every character played a role, and the concept of divinity and scheme played it's vital roles is just so glorifying. this manhwa also used the language of Middle to Early Modern English which makes everything so much better (especially because of the theme which is probably in the 1500's, which makes everything aligned SO WELL)
IN SHORT, GODDAMN THIS MANHWA IS IDK, gave me a ride of rollercoaster emotions, especially since a religion is involved in this plot I hope this doesn't get normalized though I'm just amazed on how they plotted this manhwa so well, are you doing good author ??

YES. omg, i share the exact same thoughts and feelings as you! this is such a good review, tbh this manhwa has been done dirty by a lot of readers who couldn't comprehend the plot (hence the ever declining rating) bc the symbolism is everything! as a religious horror enthusiast i'm eating this up, for a manhwa focusing mostly on smut, i'd say it's a job well done on plotwise

Theyre with different people perse. . Like alternate universe. BUT there is also an alternate ending where OG kloff stopped torturing OG aeroc after he almost died ... i didnt like it.
