I suddenly remembered this guy who was bullying me in grade school. Like he would call me names and woul always pest around me. He even pulled my hair on our graduation day. Then come highschool, one of our classmates told me that my bully actually had a crush on me. So yeah, Sanada probably was crushing on Itonaga but couldnt properly convey it.
