Him not being toxic anymore. Not mean. When we saw him again after the long hiatus that's basically where his development started to happen. He changed and slowly more and more. The time skip just shows how much Yahwi and Jooin grew without each other but still missing each other and how they moved on from the toxic past
Not only the character designs, but the entire world looks lifeless and cold, like they're living in permanently cloudy day. And the contrast with the red in mazaroth (I don't remember if that the correct spelling, I mean the place where the monsters are). It creates a chilling atmosphere that keeps you always on your feet, bc nowhere is safe for the MC.
