im 20 chapters in and tbh i get that the fl has trauma from previous life, but bro in this life the ML has done nothing wrong, and even in the previous life he went to war and got shell-shocked, like, i really cant stand to read this, i don't get why the ML is being treated poorly by the author, the author is treating the story like it's silly and funny that the ML is the way he is. It pisses me off to no end, its like that one "stepmother" manga where the ML's name is sable, and every goddamn time someone wrongs him or theres a conflict, the author tries to frame it as his fault, when IN BOTH THIS AND THAT, ITS REALLY NOT HIS FAULT
If you ever give the evil stepmother a chance again it actually handles the issue with the male lead really. Well. Unfortunately we know mlre about the ML than the fl does which is why jt may seem like the story is treating him harshly but the fl learns what happened and is very patient and loving after. And the ml too even apologizes for his mean behavior .
Only issue is that the translations are shit and inconsistent now and the art is degrading every chapter. So maybe don't pick if up honestly.

Where exactly did she treat him like a slave??? Did I miss something? I've read until 32 and I can tell that never happened. And about the banquet I do agree that wasn't very smart but it also wasn't without reason. She wanted him to have a higher status so she announced him as a sponsored talent under her. About his personality, it was already like that wdym zapped by FL girl make it make sense. And just because he didn't have revenge doesn't mean he won't in the future. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
