i think he watched a video of ML when he was kidnapped as a teenager swearing that he would take absolute revenge on the kidnappers. The mc's dad is dead so he will be one to take the fault and he realized ML will never give him freedom. Thats kinda what i recalled

So he run to the other ahole, raped, and suddenly he missed the ahole ml and want to get back together??

Kael doesn't know a lot of reasons why Hes is very adamant on revenge on something that happened to him.

He doesn't know Hes watched him die bcs of them and that she eventually died from grief. He had to figure some things out from clues bcs Hes wont tell him.

He just notices that Hes is making her whole life and motivation for living on revenge when he himself has moved on (he has not forgiven them - just he is happy with Hestia now).

So thats why he told her this so she focuses on her own life and enjoys it. In reality he doesn't know that Hes is technically still grieving Kaels death. So now there is a misunderstanding. Hes thinks he still cares for Diana when he doesn't. Kael thinks she's obsessed with revenge when hes moved on not knowing he died in front of her.

Diana will naturally get her own consequences without them intervening. If Kael intervenes it can stop hestia from ruining her mental health and royal families power. Diana will still be punished.

I've been seeing your comments a lot. All I can say is—stop acting like Hestia.

Yeah but have you read the story. She planned it yet she hasn't been feeling totally satisfied with it bcs she knows Kael has moved on and that Diana will get whats coming regardless if she did something.

Hestias main concern is what and WHO is she once revenge is completed. Shes making the revenge her only life goal and thats affecting her mentally. She will feel some type of depression not satisfaction after getting revenge. She thinks she doesn't have a right to be happy with Kael as Hestia. Thats why Kael is concerned. Ofc she is a bit outraged and so are the readers by the whole plan being thrown off but in reality, Kael is right with the limited knowledge that he has about Hestias past.

This is sucha a bullshit.
If that were the problem, he could help her after she accomplished what she worked for. He knows how much effort she puts in and she talks about how much she works for it several times.
Now, in his opinion, it's better to frustrate someone's dream ONE FUCKING DAY BEFORE IT'S DONE.
Only in YOUR head would that make things better.

this is literally about him so why wouldn't he be concerned. Hes not stopping her at all especially not for diana or helios. He's telling her she doesn't need to do it and it doesn't mean she can't go ahead with it.

What was the novel end?

As I said, the ending of the novel is more realistic.
The protagonists go to live in that land that his father had already promised them.
Together they make the land VERY PROSPEROUS, to the point of no longer needing anything from the empire.
Lise goes crazy and tries to seduce the prince, and commits a bunch of more crimes, resulting in her being sentenced to death, but Edith interferes and asks for her to be sent to the convent.
In the convent she is tortured for the rest of her life.
Lise's ex-husband becomes the duke since he is the older brother. He regrets everything, asks Edith for forgiveness and thinks about leaving the duchy to his brother, but he and Edith refuse since their new land is worth MUCH MORE. Their new land is almost a principality.
The brother ends up marrying another woman, whom he does not love but respects a lot.
Here comes more extras where Edith finds a lost child etc.
Extra about the children and a happy ending
Aaaa I had forgotten about the secretary with glasses, he had stayed with the duchy, but Lise made his life hell so he goes to live with Edith and Killian in the North and he has an affair with the maid who is Edith's friend

Basically Edith doesn't forgive the people of the empire and manages to live a much happier life away from these people.

WTH! I like this ending better! I was wondering what happened to the land they were gonna live on originally
