I think it is because we, as the readers, can see everything that is going on. This means we know secrets and truths about every character. The FL is obviously oblivious to this and doesn’t know better. The readers will get frustrated in situations like this and blame the FL for being stupid and dumb, when really, we damn know well we would’ve done the same if we had the same information and knowledge as the FL..
