Just Finished reading ch35. and im just in utter shock, disbelief, and in disappointment because of kloff.. I mean sure he’s angry, but damn accidentally killing your own child cuz of your anger is just plain stupidity at its finest. I know he was already fucking old but that doesnt justify his actions. how many times will kloff kill his kid like bruh?.. at this point aeroc and kloff are just not meant to be and i hope they just dont end with each other..

It might just me me, but ion think the backstory was meant to justify his behavior but to offer context to why he did what he did. It's a classic story about poor people dying and sacrificing to keep the rich happy and ignorant while taking the blood shed to keep them there for granted. The author is attempting to give him depth but isn't doing a good enough job getting the message across so no one actually cares which is very unfortunate:(

I totally agree! This back story isn’t supposed to make us like him or justify his actions, but understand his thought process. It’s about a child who fell in love with the image of a pretty girl in order to cope with his stressful/traumatic life. Then the child grew up, and was made to face reality after creating all these expectations. Now he has nothing to hold on to. Bye bye coping mechanism.
