Starting to wonder if they got deleted (maybe in some hack and they had to be reuploaded. I thought this was my lucky night to show up and find so many updates. Now I’ve got to fig out which are real. Sucks

First I’m not saying for sure there’s a hack. It’s possible bc it’s happened before. But if there was it’s not just yaoi haters. This is 2nd hand and I’m not sure of the validity of the info but I was told someone from myreadingmanga at the very least took credit for a hack last year. I wasn’t aware of this but I found out a bit ago that there’s some sort of feud between the two sites readers. At least from the myreadingmanga side. Like last year when mangago was attacked and ppl couldn’t access their accounts and were freaking out and no one knew what was going on, some myreadingmanga ppl came and trolled. Doesn’t mean they did it but someone from there did seem to enjoy the havoc caused. I have no clue what that’s all about. Im really curious why there’s this animosity. The only reason I don’t read myreadingmanga is bc of the porn pop ups and I have a kid. I’m very open about sex with her but that doesn’t mean I want her to pick up my phone and see some graphic sex site with a gif of a penis going in and out of some orifce bc I missed closing out a porn pop up. I used to read manga park when mangago didn’t have a reader that loaded whole chapters but I always checked mangago bc they were sometimes the first to have new manga and updates. I moved over here permanently after the website was overhauled bc I love the set up, the reader and how mangago has new stuff up so quick. For me it’s not tha deep so I don’t get the fued. And I don’t know how large a crew is all caught up in the negative feelings towards mangago. If anybody knows anything about the why I’d love to know bc it doesn’t make sense to me at all.

Maybe idk. I had the impression that it was the readers from there. But again I’m not sure bc I’m just going off a thread I read awhile back talking about it. The only other info I love seen to support the idea that there’s some sort of fued is a manga or two translated by someone with a note at the beginning saying -only for myreadingmanga, don’t repost to other sites, especially mangago. Or something along those lines. Idk it just sounds so stupid and juvenile. Considering the bias towards yaoi and yaoi readers by some it feels pointless and self defeating to have some internal yaoi fued. But it could all just be some small thing blown out of proportion by ppl enjoying some conspiracy theories. I have no clue. I’m really curious about it though. Whether it’s in fact a real thing and if so why.

ohhhhh, that's true!!! I've seen a lot of manga with a note at the start saying "only for myreadingmanga, don’t repost to other sites" but I don't really think they can do anything 'bout it, even if they try to hack the site and everything - but I think I have to agree with the whole ".. it could all just be some small thing blown out of proportion by ppl enjoying some conspiracy theories" because I'm completely the same. and the last thing whether it’s, in fact, a real thing and if so why - I do not believe we're going to get an answer anytime soon -.- but I think you're aware of that ;))

If you look at the upload quality between the two sites it's like night and day. MRM doesn't compress the files like mangago so the quality is what the original scanlators intended. Which means 100% better. I have an account here and like the setup and UI. I could without some of the toxicity on comment threads but that's what it's for, varying opinions and degrees of ignorance. But I do like the quality from MRM but not the redirects and popups. However, enabling ADBlock Plus and ADBlocker Ultimate do the trick.

I probably would only go over if a particular manga isn’t clear enough to read easily here. Mainy Just bc of laziness bc I enjoy the ability to catalog managa and save them in lists to come back to so I’d just id at first com back to mangago after reading to catalog, review and save. When mangago was screwed up and I wasn’t able to load manga I’d go read on other sites but come back to rate and leave a note expressing how I felt about the manga. I appreciate being able to come back after I’ve forgotten a manga and know whether it’s something I want to reread. That and the lists make saving special mangas possible without trying to do it with my browsers bookmarks (which isn’t a great way to catalog and find the exact manga I want conveniently) and it fulfills this desire I have to collect and catalog. Mangago Just has the best setup for me. And at this point I have a lot of time and work invested in my lists and all the reviews I’ve left for myself letting me know whether to reread or not. But even if there’s a quality difference in the uploaded manga on the two sites I don’t get why there’d be negativity surrounding which site you choose to read on.
