I enjoy it, but it tends to stretch and drag in the way that many manhuas do, but is mindless good fun if you enjoy classic shounen

I have the same feeling. I guess the author was tempted to go all soft and make Bella spineless, but she retracted herself.
PD: I'm my opinion, everything has been very inconsistent and very over the top/ sometimes excessive all through this webtoon, but whatever, I still enjoy it.
