Actually the anime try to follow the same art as the manhwa as much as possible, I was excited abt it 2 but yeah y can never trust the art of manHUAS ,I will just read the novel after i complete TCF's vol 2
The manhwa does not do this novel ANY justice. Things would just escalate as the story goes on, and I can't see how this art style could possibly keep up with it.

YES. I love both ORV and TCF, but LOTM first webnovel I finished. It's almost criminal how underrated LOTM is but from what I've heard it does have significant following in CN. You can start with this manhwa and see if it piques your interest. I also started here, then decided to continue in the webnovel. It's a slow start because MC isn't OP but promise it is worth it.
No romance though so that could either make it or break it for you. The MC is very cunning :))
