The ML is an asshole. He destroys the Piano which was the only thing the MC had left from his dead mother. He destroyed it with a baseball bat as the MC begged him not too. He destroyed the piano because he caught the MC playing the piano when we told him he doesn’t like him seeing playing it because he’s just trying to copy the ML lover. Fuck him, you have to be another level of an asshole to destroy the last possession a person has of their mother. Piece of scum.

Basically the ML gives no shit about the MC up till chapter 100 where the MC and ML finally get a divorce. MC wanted a divorce around chapter 70 but the mother of the ML manipulated him and said that it won’t be fair on his Dad if he divorces because the ML company spent money advertising the Dads company. She threatened him even when she knew he was in an abusive marriage. The only reason the divorce was granted in the end was because the MC was kidnapped and he escaped after 3days bloody, beaten, injured and stabbed all the way home where he saw the ML and his lover in there house drinking wine. Our MC had then decided to divorce immediately and had already signed the papers. The mother wouldn’t let the ML sign the papers and tried to manipulate the MC again by bringing up the Dad. The MC snapped and brought a knife to his own neck and threatened to kill himself if the ML didn’t sign. Before that the ML has physically and mentally abused the MC. Not limited to slapping, punching, kicking, missing important dates, calling/implying he’s a slut/whore and easy to get, destroyed his last possessions of his mother. He continually demeans him. Even after they divorce he visits the MC in hospital and says ‘sorry I was terrible’ and expects to be forgiven simply because the MC was nice to him before. There’s no development. The ML is irrational and jealous and overly possessive and a complete hypocrite. He continued to accuse and get angry at the MC of having lovers and sleeping around and being faithful when in fact it wasn’t true and yet he (ML)was the one who had the side chick. In the end they get back together and marry again. I continued to read the novel because I was rooting for Tang the 2nd male lead. He was there for the MC while he was in hospital suffering from physical and psychological wounds, he stood by the MC and encouraged him to follow his dreams and pursue piano. He was kind and sweet and was curbed in the end. Complete waste of my emotions and time.
The art is pretty but is it worth the frustration and emotional trauma you will go through? That’s up to you to decide.
It’s not a healthy relationship at all because at the end of the novel the MC still suffers from mental trauma given previously at the hands of the ML. Some wounds are too deep to be healed by love. Not that the ML loves the MC, more like the idea of MC who saved him from kidnappers and that can play the piano beautifully. That’s also the only reason he loved his side chick.
