I dont think they've explained it yet but what happens is mc goes on vacay with his sister and breaks his phone after posting a pic with her in the background so they cant get in touch with each other which makes him think that he has a GF and so they get into a fight and MC explains thats his sister and that he s in love with him. Basically they both think the other has a girlfriend but we haven't found out who the high school girl friend is
