I'm an asian, from the land of Philippines. Filipino is my language we don't have a gender-specific-pronoun. We do have pronoun it is "neutral-pronoun"... And English is our second language. It's not like I don't know how to use pronoun, its just because this manga genre is a gender-bend and I don't know what pronoun should I use to Mizuki. Originally he is a "HE", and he became a "SHE"... so I don't know whatto use. I want use "siya" instead. LOL.. Ah, that explains why when the youtuber Happy Slip did skits of her Filipino family, they'd sometimes say the wrong pronoun. Have you seen her videos? She stopped making them, but I think her account still exists. They are hilarious.
It's the common mistakes that is engraved with our tongue, Unless that Filipino child had been brought up to speak in english from the day they were born (strangely they don't speak Filipino, but they do understand them. Strange right?. A local who doesn't speak his/her own mother language)... Happy Slip, no I haven't seen it.
