Oh God the MC is so frustrating, I don't think he's to blame for the incident, that wad just very unlucky. But he's super frustrating none the less. ML still being interested doesn't make much sense to me. I'll keep reading because eh, why not, but I'm getting less and less invested in this story ( ̄∇ ̄")

My God this manhwa (and the novel) is literally MY IDEAL. Slow burn romance with lots of sexual tension. Smart, interesting characters. Amazing plot, a gritty atmosphere. Humour! The balance between plot and romance is also perfect for my taste, and the sexy parts are crazy hot. Aaaaah I love this so much ლ(´ڡ`ლ)

Nothing compares but I would recommend The Foul, The Pawn's Revenge, Checkmate, Paid (also by Fujoking). These have interesting and endearing characters, a good/complex plot and the overall gritty vibe, without being "psychological" (read traumatic). The other commenter said Shutline which I love but I don't know if it has the same vibe as Payback. Still a fantastic read. Kinda similar to Shutline I'd say Wet Sand. What all these lack though, is Payback's humor! I think it truly elevates an already amazing story (=・ω・=)
I used to think that Jeolho was often selfless and protective of Nanmu despite his own feelings and that he was a decent guy, until what he did in ch.46. I think he totally took advantage of Nanmu's state and that it's unforgivable especially because HE KNOWS what Nanmu went through. But it just occured to me that Jeolho probably thinks he's going to die, in ch.45 he said only him and the other guy are left. He knows Pilgyun is going to get him soon. Maybe he acts like that in the spirit of "might as well have sex with him one last time" or maybe he's not completely in his right mind either. Still he's a piece of shit.
