If you pay close attention as you read, you'll notice thats actually a pretty big plot point, that they presumably will be explaining more as the story unfolds.

Its been mentioned several times by now how unnatural it was that everyone unconditionally loved Ophelia, and now her doppelganger.

If you dont understand WHY that is, its because the story hasn't gotten there yet.

Suspect its something to do with some sort of mind manipulation magic from a God but idk bc it hasnt been explained yet.

ain't it because she's like the goddess incarnate? that's why the people kinda worship the ground she walks on even tho she was a bitch?

Literally this theyre pieces if work. Ane onestly I understand where they're both coming from (not that it makes it right or anything) but they both need serious work.

She knew she's nothing more than a surrogate wife and a caretaker for the kids, it was the whole reason they had a contact marriage, like shes dumb for thinking shed more than that. But I also sympathize with her because at times he did give mixed signals.

For him, he seriously needs therapy. He needs to learn how to move on. I understand how hard it is to lose the literal love of your life but moving on is healthy. Not to forget, but to accept and continue to live your life. He instead went and decided to hire someone to surrogate their kids (a little weird, instead of grieving he has kids but okk) and then gives his new wife the hors and colds.

Whether or not they get back together in the end, I just hope they work things out for themselves and that they improve. I really pray River doesn't keep up with this weird dense act. Her naiveness feels forced by the author, she's a grown woman. And he needs therapy imo

I sympathize with her, but she should have left the first time divorce was mentioned. She can't force a relationship with him. As for Noah, he definitely needs serious therapy to understand where his heart truly lies; his actions are unfair to both parties.

I hope River doesn't go back to him in the end. She deserves someone who will value her, especially after dealing with a man like Noah. That said, she also needs to work on her emotional maturity.

To be fair though, Noah is not really sticking to his words. He’s claiming she’s not a fr wife. But also having sex with his surrogate 24/7, crossing boundaries, taking her on family vacation trips, letting her take care of the kids, actually putting the wedding ring on her, and is seriously thinking of wanting to be with her. His words and actions conflict. It’s no wonder she gained hope when he constantly does things to lead her to think that way.

If he really was being serious about her not being a true lover to him, he should’ve never had sex with surrogate as that’s completely unnecessary. Never should’ve let her become like a mom to the children and interact with the kids, made her his wife, or take her out on trips. He could’ve just made her the surrogate, got the kids and ended things there like a normal surrogacy.

It was indeed stupid to wish something would change over the years, and honestly, if Noah wasn't so hardheaded, maybe they would have been an actual family. But oh well. It does make sense though that she chose to do it now because she's pregnant. That's the smartest and the best opportunity for her to leave.
