Blaming everything on his “ instincts” is another way of saying you chose and gave into the LUST over your love! And imagining the other man within your “ lover” because you continue to lust and want him was so mean. Even if he did make an effort in the end I think it was only because he was found out and was scared ryodai would leave him after seeing how hurt he was by it….
