I can't believe I'm about to say this but the official translation is garbage. They made sentences 'more easily digestable' but it just erases nearly all context that the sentences are trying to convey through speech. I never realized it before but I read the official then the scanlation, let me give you some exapmles;

Scanlation: 'Right. I'm the one who has to make her happy. She cried every day because of those bastards.'
Official: 'Yes, I need to make her happy. She was sad every day because of those guys.'

The officials take away the fact that *HE* needs to make her happy and downplays what Eclis feels about Pen's situation.

Scanlation: 'Ugh, what a bothersome little prey'
Official: 'He's causing trouble for me when he's just prey'

I think they changed it because the OG wasn't 'English sounding' enough but it changes the feel of the whole thing.

Scanlation: 'Last time she never used such powerful ancient magic, and all the prey fell neatly into my webs'
Official: 'Last time I didn't use powerful ancient magic, and the prey crawled into the web I laid out'

I didn't even understand what she was talking about until I read the scanlation??? They literally translated it wrong. It's obvious from the context clues (panels) that she was talking about Pen blowing up the magic island and the officials fucked up. And the I didn't get the prey being the ML's until the scanlation.

There is more like the mirror and Reynard's comeback to being claled a creep being removed etc but it feels like the official is being done by a person who gebuinely wants to drop the readiing level to a 4th graders level. It's fr disappointing
