What was everyone doing? Why did her brother have to buy all the land just to get her body back? She just saved all their asses and now their bankrupt and destitute? What were he disciples doing where they let their masters family and legacy fall to ruins? Ones the next magic tower master and the other the freaking emperor? (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸
These are just my thoughts:
Hildegard said her body likely didn’t stay intact after the sealing, and then mentions how it’s a place her body might or might not be. I think he bought the land to either search for her body or have it as her last resting place, since it was the battle took place.
I don’t think her disciples could do much cause they’re not part of the family, for one. For another, the head of the family is usually the one with the final decision, so I don’t think they could have stopped him either way.
Also, they were probably in shock and mourning. Who knows, maybe they also were busy trying to recover any trace of her.
Not sure if this comes off as condescending, but that’s not my intention ( ̄∇ ̄")
No not at all, you make totally valid points!
Like it makes sense why her bother would want to buy and preserve the land, and why her disciples could have succumbed to their grief. I guess what I’m getting more at is why the country let it come to him having to use his wealth at all?
Usually in these cases the land is donated, and designated as some sort of “holy” sight/place for pilgrimage/like some form of park in her memory. Like the state/royals should have offered the original owners some form of tax break, help with rebuilding their lands, or rights to business since it would most likely become a tourist destination. I find it odd that the public didn’t protest. Since she basically single-handedly saved their country (maybe even their world/continent). On that note was there no reward given to the family in her place/honor?
Also if they had been struggling against the demon lord those lands he bought would have been ransacked and the owners in serious financial difficulty. I don’t think he would have needed to pay such absorbent prices, even if they tried to take advantage of his sentimentality. Like he had to sell all but their iron mine there was I think at least 10 high quality & producing gemstone mines, and various other lands that he sold? The prices just don’t seem to add up.
Lastly I get that her death led to her disciples grief and would most likely have prevented them for helping at first, but it’s been 80 years. In that time her family which I think has only reached her nephews grandchildren’s generation are almost homeless and orphans (they might be great grandchildren but I’m not sure). They obviously haven’t done much to help, even if her brother refused help which seems like that could have been the case even so why not help now? It seems like her legacy has been all but forgotten.
Also this is a side note but I think it mentioned since the kids were orphaned and had a guardian, that the royals/state would send some form of audit/personnel to occasionally monitor the situation since it involved succession of a title. To build on that aren’t they technically a ducal family? It seems very suspicious that they fell so quickly, epically giving their families/her contributions to the nation.
Don’t get me wrong I like the story it just doesn’t seem realistic, even if some of the ducal families were jealous and coveted their wealth/power and conspired against them they had enough standing, wealth/business, not to mention various partners/alliances and backers like her disciples the emperor and magic tower master that should have eventually helped them and prevent their ruin. Not to mention the public/common people were most likely in favor of them too, wouldn’t it be hard to go against practically all the common people of the empire?
What shitty knights, no honor or sense of duty to the ones they serve just this fake illegitimate daughter ( ̄へ ̄)I hope everyone other than her mother from the Dukedom gets wrecked. (Also can someone spoil for me, I want to know if the mother dies, because from the fist chapter it looks like MC leaves the family, but it seems weird the mother is t there with her or at least standing up for her given the situation?)
How has she know the fairy queen? Also I don’t remember there being other races at all, is that new?
I dont think it was mentioned before - the existence of fairies I mean, but its not that weird since magic and holy power exist in this world. Phil had a ring filled with holy power and a magic boat was build as well, not to mention that Leguin is the great magician, so its not that really off in this story, makes sense actually. They probably skipped the part mentioning fairies before in the manhwa, but im pretty sure it was said in the novel. I dont think Phil knows the fairy queen, most likely Leguin has some kind of deal with the fairies or is familiar with them since hes someone who lives solely in harmony with magic and doesnt really like humans. I can guess that he has some connection with the fairies and the fairies are aware of him, thats why Leguin went to meet the fairy queen and brought her to Phil after explaining the situation. Since theres no way the fairies will just let it go and ignore Leguin's request (though i doubt he acutally asked her nicely to come) to see the man resposible for killing her kind.
Why did she let herself get stabbed and not a magic clone? Also what does she mean that he’s defeated? Is she going to fake marry him then actually use her clone/doll magic to look like she died while “married” to him, then return as her original position as the dukes daughter? I’m ok with spoilers!

Yeah just let her die! (Also what’s white lotus bitch?, even though I do t know what it means it seems to suit her perfectly)
it’s when someone pretends to be all pure and innocent like a white lotus but is actually a bitch (o_o;)
Haha thanks that totally makes sense! I feel kind of dumb since it had such a straightforward meaning ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄
