Can some explain how his alchemy works? Especially what dictates whether or not the items disappear or not? Like I don’t get why he gets to keep Odin’s eye, but everything else disappears? Also for that dragon elixir, it was about to disappear but he used it before the time limit and now the effects are permanent?
It's because some of the things he crafts are "incomplete" or "copies" that have durations or number uses. Most of the stuff he repeatedly summons due to points while other things he has permanently summoned a portion of. Consider it like he is either unlocking skills for a brief period or unlocking certain levels of a specific skill tree.

I really like this but it kind of doesn’t make sense… I mean the ducal house only came into power three generations ago so either the current dukes grandfather or great grandfather depending how they’re counting it. Anyways they make a point to show all of their power is from the first generation who was a commoner and the rest to follow have been disappointments.
It’s just hard to imagine how they’ve kept their power and influence up to this point other than the obvious blackmail, and other illegal methods.
Like they don’t have much honor or glory built upon years of power they’re recent nobles. So they lack the tradition it’s hard to see how they’ve kept they were accepted by the other nobles…
So why hasn’t the emperor dealt with them before? If he was callous to kill off the royal family and throw a coup (even if they were corrupt) why didn’t he just get rid of them back then? What’s stopping him now?
With how indiscreet they are about murdering people it doesn’t make much sense, especially since no one is loyal to them or would miss them? Like honestly you could kill them off the same way they’re murdering people and no one would miss them or deeply question it, so why not?
The scene where the duke is trying to frame the Mc in the audience chamber because of that letter makes me think that he does have his fair share of supporters. There are clearly people shown to be on his side. Why they are on his side though, is a mystery.
I think there were other scenes in events with a lot of people that have this same thing happen. You can tell who in the crowd is siding with who. It just hasn't been brought up in great detail as far as I can remember.
