This Man CARES deeply once he becomes attached his whole being becomes connected so he desperately stays away because why care if it just hurts . His family only taught him that things need purpose happiness is not a purpose to keep things around while in truth it is . They dont value the little things as he does. I feel like this chapter kinda awoke that in him when he saw the MC he already felt a conncetion due to the imprint but i also feel even during that time he could feel how much MC was a man full of responsibility and love /Confidence that he lacked in where he could be true to himself. Miller i feel became confused due to his family its hard when ur stuck in that type of role and setting .
