This author is a master of sensuality. The way the characters look at each other, touch each other, love each other... Never have I felt something so deliciously sensual.
And the plot makes it all the more exquisite.

That was such a tense read, and ngl my worst nightmare. The scariest thing about this story is how real it felt. Toxic relationships such as those DO EXIST in real life. Lies, manipulation, gaslighting, love-bombing, poor self-esteem, shame, violence... The author did such a good job in depicting their toxic relationship. The loop thingy was definitely some sort of metaphor for this never-ending cycle of toxicity. In real life, it's really hard to get out of those kind of relationship. It's no one's fault really, because they both have psychological issues. And that's also exactly why they ended up finding each other.
Damn this is so fast-paced and disjointed haha can't believe all of this happened in only 35 chapters lol. This was legit the material for 3 seasons at least.
Can't really get attached to the characters either cuz you blink and they're already on another arc. Such a shame cuz the art is gorgeous and the plot has potential. I beg you author-nim, please just take your time exploring each element of the story. We ain't going anywhere, I swear.
Damn, this story had all the elements to be something great : hot and interesting characters, great angst potential, power bottom, great sexual tension, nice plotline ... and somehow, the author managed to use all those elements in the weirdest way possible to waste it all.
This could've been the next great ennemies-to-lovers spy x mafia story to redeem the debacle that was Roses and Champagne. But no. Instead, we got a confusing plot (sorry but all the spy elements make no sense whatsoever), weird sexual tension moments (like wtf was this train arc with the mc just watching is comrade having sex with random girls next to him???), an awful sex scene (honestly, all of that waiting for the culmination to be the mc getting raped while drugged is awful beyond words) and a very predictable plot twist (like sorry author-nim but it was so OBVIOUS from the beginning that he was the bad guy all along).
Idk if it's just the manwha that weirdly adapted the novel, but this is such a disappointment...

I assume it's cuz the grandpa's gonna die soon and the older brother is hoping to build a connection with his younger brother now that grandpa would be out of his way ? (Not sure tho)
