The concept is original, the art is cute and the characters are not toxic, but am I the only only who thought everything was kinda stiff? Like the art is cute, but they have no facial expression. The story was promising but the way it unfolded was so stiff. It's like one day I love you, then I have a conversation and I avoid you, then I talk to you again... No real depth or natural flow. And let's not forget the antagonists. So one-dimensional. Only existing to bring conflict like it's their sole purpose in life. Quite disapointing ngl. It had so much potential.

Well they are young. Luckily Haebom is far more mature despite his father's treatment towards him. As for Eunchong, he needed time to process his feelings after years of trauma. Luckily Haebom is the patient one. Usually people like Haebom growing up being hated usually turnout to be a**holes themselves. Just like the person who treated them badly.
I so want Haebom in my life!

Weirdly enough, I quite enjoyed this story. This is by far the shittiest love story in the sense that everything that happens is utterly shitty. The uke spends his life shitting on everyone, but he does it so well. The seme is the most stubborn dumbass I've ever seen, but he's so adorable. Their relationship makes no fucking sense, but somehow it does work. Definitely one of a kind haha

Hum, am I the only one who doesn't get where the story is going? It's kinda fast-paced and I'm really confused about the plot and how the characters sometimes don't make any sense. Like what? Why u mad bro?? You wanted to leave, no? And didn't the shady friend want to find another racer so Taesung could leave? Then why object when he says he wants to leave??? I don't get this story... Art is nice tho.

I know a lot of you will disagree with me, but this story is heartbreaking yet quite touching. I think it's well-constructed.
Hee-seo is a classic case - albeit extreme, I admit - of abandonment issues turning into obsessive behaviour. The author made a fantastic job in depicting his thought process and the reasons why he behaves like this. Agreed, it is excessive and reeaaally toxic, but given the plot and everything, I find this character quite well-written. I find myself feeling bad for him at times, althougt I never and will never condone rape.
Taekyung is also a touching character in his own way, also displaying some obsessive behaviour towards the mum, although not channeled exactly like Hee-seo. He nevertheless allows for Hee-seo's toxic behaviour to happen, always letting himself be put in dangerous situation. He feeds Hee-seo's obsession by telling lies that Hee-seo's want to hear, always keeping him at a certain distance while indulging him in others (sex) and never pushing him away completly. He gives Hee-seo just enough so he thinks that his delusion might be real, while still making him want for more, which is the perfect combination to keep him addicted.
Yes, Hee-seo is exhibiting very problematic behaviour, but so is Taekyung. They feed each's other's toxic obsessiveness, which fits quite well with the plot of the story. Can't wait to see how this whole thing unravels. This story deserves higher rating. Hell, I've seen more toxic stories that didn't even have a plot with better ratings.

The thing is TaeKyung dug his own hole. He knows the kid has psychological issues, but INSTEAD of bringing him to a COUNSELOR and MAINTAINING APPROPRIATE DISTANCE, HE HELPS in ENABLING THE ADDICTION.
Having sex with him without giving himself fully ... Like why did he EVEN DO that?!? He would NEVER introduce the kid properly but keeps hiding in and their relationship. It's TOXIC to the MAX. When ppl are hoping their relationship won't end TOXICALLY....I'm like, um, hasn't it BEEN THAT WAY FROM THE GET GO???

The story is good and all but GODDAMN I couldn't get over the wet-ass-raggedy-noodle hair. Their faces was alright but the hair was throwing me off every time. The art gets better towards the end, but it was still off at times. This should've been in black and white.
Also, has this artist never seen an actual 5 yo child?? They don't look like a tiny-ass doll and they don't speak like that either haha. This character was so weird in the story. Didn't get the dynamic with the emperor and what his purpose was.
Overall, a good story tho. Got into it more than I expected, nice build-up. Tho this should be tagged as shounen-ai and not yaoi.
Wow, two BL characters with emotional intelligence, how rare and oh so refreshing (▰˘◡˘▰)
