I actually love the slow pace as I can interpret it as we're going to the flow of how the MC is slowly getting his life back, discovering things he didn't know, exploring hobbies, and opening up; which results are not immediate. This feels like something that is similiar irl, that healing and finding yourself again is not easy, but we'll get there. No hate! I'm with the MC all the way, I really hope he'd be happy soon.
