Gyujin is an asshole and deserved whatever happened to him, but one thing he said was right, Sooyoung is spineless. And although Jihwan is helping him, he is even crazier than Gyujin. Really hope Sooyoung learns to stand for himself

Yes he is spineless. I am not blaming him for being raped, cause Gyujin is bigger and as the author portrays Sooyoung is very thin and weak even though he is also a boy, so he could not fight against Gyujin. However, not even once has Sooyoung properly expressed his truest anger,
frustration and hatred he feels for being treated like an object. When Gyujin feels free to slap him he stands and takes it in, let's say he is scared of Gyujin to the point his mind goes blank, so when Jihwan shows up at least then he could say something? Anything? But no he runs off. Even he is aware of the fact, as he himself said in the latest chapter that he feels safe or something in Jihwan's shade. His mom is sick, so he does not want to burden her, I get it however, he is his mom, he only needs to tell her, 'mom Gyujin isn't a great person, I don't want you to associate much with him.' I am sure a mother will choose to trust his own son over her son’s friend. See, we've read plenty of stories were just expressing a little solved a whole lot of things. Anyway, its all about what the authors choose their characters to do and individual perspectives.

You made a good case actually. I think the author has made him imperfect MC on purpose and that his conflict aversion will end up continuously screwing hik over. I wouldn’t call him spineless, but still very cowardly and I agree it’s frustrating to watch. He’s not nearly as bad as some other ukes though lol.

Gyujin paid for her hospital bill, if i remembered correctly. If Sooyoung said smt like that to her, she will keep asking for reasons. They're at the third year, preparing for uni entrance exam, Sooyoung have to keep a low profile to avoid trouble. Gyujin even threated to out him at school and Korea is still very homophobia. Sooyoung might be forced to quit school if they find out he's gay.

Understand his position and certain decisions and why he did so, even then as I mentioned he didn't say anything to Gyujin when Jihwan was there for him. No matter how much someone wants to live in peace and let stuffs go by, when you are being assaulted and harassed at some point you will do something, Sooyoung doesn't seem like that. That's why I also mentioned, it all depends on how the author wants to portray his character and individual perspective.

I really like Siyun, does that make me crazy for liking a character who is almost insane? Maybe! Does Siyun need therapy? Absolutely!
I really hope the author gives him his happy days back. People keep forgetting that Siyun wasn't a bad guy, he has turned into something like this cause he was brutally betrayed multiple times by the people he trusted.
Me love a slow burn romance ♡_♡
