I love the main pair, but tbh Shuumei and Yuzuru's chemistry is amazing. That's probably why the mangaka made sure to emphasize they're just bffs. I understand why the dad lied, but he hurt both his wife and Jun. I wish he clears up everything.

I don't know how much you've read until now, but the story is set in a city where Ding Hanbai's whole family is in Jade curving business. Ji she Yu is DHB's dad's friend's son, and also a great jade curving master. Anyway, JSY doesn't have any family left and comes to DHBs family, and starts working in their store. DHB is very ambitious, super talented and reckless in the sense that he wants to veer into antique business , instead of solely focusing on their Jade curving business. JSY is just very intuitively talented in jade curving and he is also very knowledgeable about curving and antiques etc. Anyway, they both start as not getting along with each other super well, but as their relationship progresses, DH develops a crush on JSY even though they have quite an age gap. JSY is freaked out at first and avoids DHB, but later he also comes around and gets in a relationship with DHB. DHB's cousin and the cousin's family tries to misplace their family business fund,which DHB and JSY discovers. And this becomes a point of contention between the whole family. Later DHB and JSYs relationship comes i to light and the whole family disagrees with two men being together. DHB leaves his home while JSY is still living with DHB family (ironic). DHB opens his own business,and ultimately attains great success with the help of JSY. They have to keep their relationship in the down low ( although everyone knows they're still together) , and physical distance ensues (although they both miss each other). DHB family business kind of falls and they lose their shops. Then DHB parents move to a smaller home, but it is implied that DHB secretly helps his parents stay safe. At the end, they kind of buy a new house together, and they treat the business inaugural gala as their wedding reception (only the couple treats it as such). But DHB is very devoted to make both their lives easy and rich, and JSY is his perfect partner in business and life.
Sorry for incoherent recounts, it has been quite a long time since I've read it. But it's HE and pretty fun to read.

I read this because of the high ratings, and I think it's due to the realistic portrayal of depression and regret by Terrence, Jeff, Jeff's mom, and Greg (the sister's ex). Also, the two MCs have strong chemistry despite the underdeveloped way the author wrote their love story–that's what kept me reading. I like it, but I wish it was better written. I want more extra chapters about their new life, the doctors' story, and what went on with the dad and the sister.
1. Author could have written the beginning better. Jeff's actions were irrational. Kissing or trying to SA the brother of his dad's supposed mistress? I think if the author wrote Jeff and Terrence's childhood backstory/connection better, we'll understand why Jeff would feel that attracted to Terrence. But we only got bits and pieces of their memories of that time. At least Terrence seems to remember it fondly, but Jeff seems to have forgotten most of it (childhood amnesia).
2. We didn't get the full story of the two doctors. From what I understood, Doctor Zhang's sister died and that's probably why he was isolating himself and decided to leave town. They kissed and was implied to sleep together. Dr. Lian decided to chase Dr. Zhang later on, so it's clear that the female friend he talked to wasn't a girlfriend/fiancee like Dr. Lian feared.
4. The comments said that rape happened in the uncensored version. But the links provided were dead so I can't verify. So it looks like it was just attempted rape. That said, I just wish BL authors try to be more creative in their writing and stop using rape/SA to get two characters together.
5. So it seems that Jeff's dad and Terrence's sister did not have an affair since the rings doesn't fit. But no one can verify since they're both dead. It's sad how adults minds immediately jumped to "affair" when they saw the rings. I guess, it's because, as Jeff said, his dad wasn't a very good husband to his mom. One theory here said that the sister may have bought the rings for her and Terrence since it's his birthday. I wonder if she bought it for her and Greg (her ex) and she wanted to get back together and propose to him instead.
6. The college friends (support characters) also deserve to be shown in the extra chapters. They were good kids.
Renge, the mc/uke, is so innocent and endearing. I really wish the ml/seme were a better person who truly deserves him.
I like the first volume of this manga, but the story and art (the style changed) kinda lost their charm is it went on. I also wish that the ML showed more devotion/affection to the MC.

Chapter 7-Since they realized that they're still in love with each other, the right thing to do is to break up with their partners. That would be the best for all of them. Their partners also deserve someone who genuinely and wholly loves them. It's sad how in real life, this happens because lgbt people get pressured to conform, especially in conservative countries like ours.
Strongly agree. I know it's hard to emigrate, but I am learning two languages so if I have to chase my freedoms to other countries, I have many options. They both are readily employable in the fields they seem to have experience in. The world is enormous and liberal cities anywhere will welcome anyone who can pay their way.

Yatamori is both a promiscous kid and a victim. He's a minor, so the adult men he got involved with should have known better and refused him. But we don't live in an ideal world. I remember reading a post on twitter by a young (but not a minor) woman who joined a sugar mommy lesbian dating app. The women there told her she's too young and turned her down. Lucky for her, because most people (men or women) from dating sites/app are not ethical like that. Older men, especially, prefer younger ones because they are easier to groom and manipulate.
The question is, why is there no adult supervising Yatamori? Usually in cases like his, relatives take the the child in. The local authorities has system (foster care, financial aid, etc.) to ensure a minor is well taken care of.
That school doctor already know Yatamori is a problematic kid, but didn't even try to give him good advice or words of wisdom as an adult.
Minors/high school students having sex is not common in our country, that's why when I read mangas like this, I can't help but think that those puberty hormones can be channelled into studying, sports, and other club or fun activities. There are so many wholesome things to enjoy in childhood.
