I think he doesn't like drinking or anything that puts him tipsy/not completely there because he feels like he always has to be hyper aware/alert of his surroundings so he can protect people around him, kinda like how he always checks the boulder.
theres a analysis post written about asfua on tumbr by lej222 and its mind blowing. remember how miae would always get random calls? and how it always rains when cheol and miae fight? its crazy. theres a reason for everything. basically op explains how there is like a higher power in the story that almost all the lead characters acknowledge. my favourite is how miae has always been getting bad haircuts since the story ever started, and jisus mom is a hairstylist. props to soonkki for crafting such a well written story. ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~

I like the twist and flow of this story. Its very refreshing and new with how if this were from other authors it would have stopped at the first suicide attempt and annette being isekaid to get revenge. The way heiners character was redefined and evolved from just a classic posessive ml to a traumatised orphan was also done really well in a sense how readers werent force to understand that he harboured love/posession for annette. It was really true how annette was his only escape yet the only thing chaining him to his devotion to the country. Also respect the author for not including any other unnecessary “male leads” or putting a proper label on their relationship in the last few chapters. I love this so much you just cant hate the both of them
