Yeah I agree with you. Sadly it's a popular trope in korean webtoons it seems. Whenever a child is saved by an older FL who doesn't age, the child ends up obsessed with FL with romantic feelings. They never seem to see the FL as a motherly figure, probably because she doesn't age properly.
Yessss, it always irks me when they do THIS. Like please, is it so hard to make a character who's not a pseudofamily of the MC MC literally raised him and thinks of herself as his guardian It would've been fine if ML only thinks of her as his mother, but OF COURSE, he's "in love" I put quotation marks because it's more of an obsession than love if anything.
