I totally agree with you. What our sweet mc has is a mental condition. But despite that, he tried his best to be nice and moral. Correct me if I'm wrong but Wooyeon( from love history caused by willful negligence) has almost similar condition where he cannot comprehend or feel emotions. But we know what a giant ass red flag he was.

Actually, the two characters are fundamentally different (Dohu and Wooyeon). It’s not explicitly said but Dohu's probably on the autistic spectrum whereas Wooyeon has an antisocial personality disorder. The two conditions makes it so that they struggle understanding emotions but for Dohu, it’s not that he doesn’t feel them, he’s just "wired" differently and cannot recognize them. Wooyeon can feel things, but not typical "emotions" nor empathy, which is completely different from Dohu. That’s why Dohu tries to be better, because he feels empathy and deep sorrow for Juheon and the situation, he feels guilty whereas Wooyeon can’t physically feel that emotion (he can only regret things because it has direct consequences on him, not because he feels guilty)
