It’s because he’s always anxious. Sex puts him in a calmer, more relaxed mood. Technically, it’s not a jinx but rather a fragment of his past trauma. With all the backstory that’s already been revealed, maybe we should just read it with a logical mind instead of constantly complaining about what we don’t like. It’s fiction, after all — and a series at that. Let it release more chapters. Honestly, this pacing is better than forcing both characters to suddenly develop feelings for each other without proper context.
