Well I'm sure it's the author's intention to portray Selena as such, but my early impression on her is really bad, that I skipped on this manhwa many times for so many years. So far she seems like an ignorant temperamental brat with loose morals to be cheating on her wedded husband (though loveless arranged one but still), who clings to a stranger man like she's so parched for love? She's been blessed with happy family and love for 17 years before her family accident. And still have grandma. How did she become so rude and ungrateful to her? Ignoring her advice and sticking to her toy boy instead. She can do so many things to plan revenge or take over her family back, but why settle for a cheating affair? She that horny for a man?
1) The reason she behaves impolitely with her grandmother is bcause she forcefully told her to wed Eiser without disscusing it 1st and even let Eiser to handle the family business afterwards instead of her.
2) It is very obvious and clear that she seeks out for Fred to become her bodyguard and what led them to be together even in bed is because of the threat she heard from Eiser's own mouth to kill her (tho it was just a misunderstanding and serena only realised when eiser told her about it later). Since she fears for her life and feels like she has no one on her side in the household (Sui being the only exception) so why shouldn't she stay with Fred 24/7? She was undeniably afraid of Eiser killing her while she sleeps, giving the dark bloody history amongst the Grayans (Eiser's family)
3. Making conclusions while you're only at chapter 5 is hilarious as the story and the characters in it has so much to offer but yeah it's just my opinion pls don't mind. Anyways, just keep reading if you like it and just drop it if it's not to your liking :))

Yeah I went back to start reading this manhwa again after seeing recent chapter spoilers/highlights, obviously it's way different than the early chapters I'm currently at, both ml n FL characters have grown, and more backstory n plot revealed (touching upon the plot points I've questioned when reading early chapters). Pretty sure it's what the author intended for readers (or at least I) to feel/think/question. I have to wait until now to be sure that I'd like where the story was going. Some story has amazing opening but then meh later, this one is the opposite I think.
If the story is titled after the FL, she should be someone amazing readers root for. But early chapters just shows her low starting points.
That's so understandable, I love mature romance in general so I have always seen this in a positive light since the start despite her behavior but knowing you're sticking around here is just so nice <3 I really want to know how this story would end esp for Eiser's father and brother. oh and their marriage ofc, I love angsty series
