For this exact reason; nobody is 100% a victim in this. The only 100% true villain is the dad. Otherwise, the other characters are both victims and victimizers. Because of what the characters have been through it makes it hard to TRULY hate them, their traumas all caused them to act and behave in certain ways. Of course that isn’t an excuse for the behavior, but we can definitely see the reasoning behind it.
For example; The main reason Jaeyeon acts the way he does is because 1. He never experienced love at all, not from his father, not from anyone. He doesn’t know what love is, the only depiction of love he has is obsession. 2. Heesung was raised going to church. Alot of christians are homophobic. Homophobia is often taught, as nobody is inherently homophobic. And the irony is that he has feelings or whatever it is for another man. And the list goes on.
The author does a really nice job at making u feel confused and not knowing how to feel which in my opinion is what makes a good writer, to invoke feelings of hatred, empathy, and love all at the same time is amazing I fucking love this and can’t wait for the next updates

Him and shin grew up the same way yet shin was able to turn his life around. They’re not kids anymore. Shin can’t constantly be a hero for gren & constantly pull him out of his own shit. I’ve dealt with people like this before irl and all they did was drain me. He made the right decision by cutting him off tbh. It seemed like Gren only creates more turmoil. Not just that but he shot Jay. The literal only reason Gren got to live was because he’s Shins “brother”. Gren is lucky Jay showed him any type of mercy. He needs to grow up and turn his life around before it’s too late.
