i dont know how else to describe it other than goddamn - i was invested from beginning to end with the characters. chaeah and yoonsu in particular is so charismatic in their asshole way and so multi-layered. grey and rose too! grimm has been a good boy since the beginning and his path is more linear but i suppose its the relationship between him and yoonsu that has changed throughout the story. the main antagonist is compelling and just straight up psychotic and callous and definitely hard to kill ienough that it needs everyone in the main cast to work together. im soooo satisfied with the ending and yoonsu and chaeah spending the rest of their rich couple live burning money through travels … fucking & fighting … it just sounds good
come back to say i still think about this days later … if its a love story why is there so much blood, if there is so much blood why is it a love story … tragedy and love … what matters is that the love is there … and in this story, the love does change the entire narrative. when yoonsu was ready to let chaeah go that was when she actually reached back to him
撒野 hits me hard because i relate a little to jiang cheng. like this is it: you’re 17 and this is the shitty card you have been dealt with at life, and here are some anger issues that matches up with your father - good luck kiddo in the new city!
and i wish i had a gu fei to pull me out of the sinking abyss, but truthfully? maybe - except its not just one gu fei, its all of the friends i met in my journey crawling out of the abyss. every single person that offers a helping hand and a space for me to just genuinely be myself until im strong enough to stand on my own
i like the internal narration of the protagonist, sensible and kinda crazy at the same time (i can relate to that). and the male lead just wants to get to know her !! but shes so elusive so i like how cunning he is in trying to get her to spend more time with him. i like that both of them help each other’s out in their respective careers. and !! they are both so !!! mature and good looking !! love this sexy couple
this pair is so toxic but they are so perfect for each other for real just get together and never bother anyone else
the tension is so thick, when it finally blows up im so going to scream into my pillow
i like that for the first time in his life haewon is falling in love like a proper person. waiting for wujin’s call, thinking about him all the time. wujin definitely knows what he’s doing. and as former fuckboys’ victim, i can testify that wujin is going to leave haewon when he’s bored so i hope something changes that makes him absolutely nuts for haewon
idk something that makes me feel like i can stomach this (compared to other yaois w similarly psychotic love interest) is that i know haewon is going to fuck up wujin’s life in some irreversible ways, even if he has to ruin himself for it - and i think more power to him
and the fact that haewon’s dad is rich! like literally other ukes in this type of stories are hardworking working class people with shitton of debt - haewon is just a rich kid doing his sidequest, he doesnt need a real job! LIKE the power dynamic between him & wujin is not that bad if they are ever getting into a D/S relationship its a real consent
and the psycho ml has such dead eyes with no light whatsoever in them i think its drawn with intention - i hope the day haewon ruins him his expression will flicker

obviously the characters are so pretty but what makes this short story good is the dialogue. their conversation chemistry is so fire, the banter is so fun to read and leads up to an epic tension
