But if Cassis appears just like that, Roxanne's dad will know she didn't kill him that day and she betrayed the family by letting him escape instead. Wouldn't she be in danger?

*Minor spoiler*
No - according to the novel (you can find the fan-made translation on MTL Corner https://mtlcorner.com/the-way-to-protect-the-f-emale-leads-older-brother/ ), she'll convince her father that the Cassis they see at the banquet is actually a doll/puppet created by Noel (the head of the Veritium of Gold family)... then she plays mind games with her father so he thinks that Noel is aligning with Pedalian of the Blue. She's playing 4D chess while her dad is playing tic-tac-toe! XD

I wasn't expecting much besides smut since this story was about incest and one of them looks like a shota, but honestly... it really bothered me when Kanata offered his body to Mizuhara out of guilt from leading him on. The dude begged you to go on a date so he can get over you. How is accepting to help someone get over you leading them on? And when Kanata kept feeling guilty really it grind on my nerves. And the fact that they kept insisting Mizuhara is a good guy. NO, he's the typical abuser. He'll treat you well when he's in a good mood, but you'll be in deep shit when he isn't or when things don't go his way. He said it himself, that's he's very controlling. But then he goes and says that his "feelings" are a burden to others, making himself seem like the wounded lover with higher moral ground. What people find a burden isn't your "love", it's your actions of controlling them and how you go off by the flip of a switch. Good for the ex-boyfriend who dumped him and got out of there on time. Plus, if Mizuhara's "love" was sooo deep, how come he forgot all about his ex the moment he saw a cute innocent guy that fit his liking? All of you who ship Kanata with Mizuhara have problems. I'm not much better cuz I'm ok with this shota-esque incest, but at least they're not hurting anybody

Am I the only one who finds this woman very irritating? I'm only reading for the smut now.

How is she such a moron? She is a place with indigenous people who have killed her guide and abducted her. Where does she think is the safest place to be, a ceremonial pyramid (where other culture have done human sacrifices). It's a place where she is bound to be discovered by the tribes. Then when she gets a local to tell her it's not safe, she thinks she knows better and tries to go in anyway. She is such a dumbass. How can she be "worldly" and traveled if she thinks she knows more than the locals. UGH
I might drop this. This was getting super interesting until Abella came into the picture. Girl is dead and should stay dead. Why is she interfering? Plus, the original owner of the body died because of the church and Mikael. Because they made her so weak that one day she just dropped dead. Why is she interfering for Mikael's sake? So freaking annoying
