Like I’ve always said: She’s a teenager... also there’s no way she knows what the outcome was when she did all those “stupid” stuff. Maturity is a part of character development and Tess still have a long way to go compared to Arthur.

Well... I think though it is true she made a stupid decision, what happened would’ve happened anyways with or without her doing it. Honestly even though there is correlation between the two there is a lot more plot involved between what happened afterwards so, there really is no reason to blame her for what happened... especially since she is still a teenager and though it may seem stupid as a reader, she doesn’t know what we do and she is not Arthur, who has an adult brain and thinks logically. As a novel reader she is honestly a great character, and I don’t think the hate towards her is justified. Again the part which I think you’re talking about should have the blame on an entirely different set of characters :)

Not sure if this is a spoiler since even i don't know, however;
Based on the letters Leslie has been reading.. when silver haired children whos power is 10, the transfer amount is never 10(usually its what..4.5?) Meaning at least a large amount of that power is going missing.(like..5.5)

Theory of mine is that power is carrying over to the next silver haired child to become 15.5, and the next (to like 20 ect) meaning Leslie has a ton of power.

The mistake was they were essentially creating an unstoppable power in the silver haired children and Leslie, being the most recent of those children...possibly has ..well..A LOT of power

I agree with this theory. It explains the info written in the notes, as well as Leslie seeing/hearing all these children and being able to use a massive amount of power to save herself. Maybe that leftover amount is retained in each child’s soul and, as you said, carried over to the next generation.

I think it’s very close but instead of the missing power going to the next child, I think it’s retaining itself as the emotions of the child that died. So while she may have a power of 10, the darkness itself is stronger as it contains remnants of the children and the power they kept when they died.

True…..it could be a build up of emotions that made the power so great.

Well, it's normal for teen to think about love and relationships if you think about it. I think that's what the author is trying to convey (for me at least lol.) It's just normal for tess to actually like art since they were childhood friends and all. Plus factor is that art is awesome ╮(￣▽￣)╭ I'd have a crush surely if i was in school with him

Exactly. And art can’t rlly control if he ends up having “feelings” cause his little teenage body is starting to develop hormones. But it’s his choice to act upon them. It’s nice to know that Art is at least conscious of his “actual” age and knows that it would be weird to date any of the girls at this point in time.
