It’s too early to know what anyone’s motives are. We don’t know the background of literally anyone so far. We can’t know who is what flag. There literally is not enough story yet.
Also! Just because Guwon lacks basic common sense and knowledge doesn’t mean he’s mentally a child. By all accounts he’s a fully grown mature adult male. Not knowing about what the ring finger symbolizes doesn’t make someone mentally handicapped ya’ll.

I appreciate that this sadness was included because usually fridged moms are just used to add drama to stories without acknowledging the realities of grief.
‘Oh, poor MC mom is dead, it’s sooooo tragic’ but like then we don’t see any actual grief about it.
Okay first, the author fully committed to making Haewon Murim Jesus. Died for sins/evil then came back and everything amen.
Second, I don’t know how this went in the novel but this last arc was waaaaaaay too rushed for me? I feel like I ordered a favorite dessert and when I take bite I find out it’s been changed to sugar free or something. Like, it’s still good, but not the quality depth I was expecting.

The art is really doing all the work and putting in overtime. There’s so many plot holes, loose threads, and sloppy writing going on.
